The program of the school will consist of two tutorial series related to algorithms and lower bounds. The problems addressed are related using fine-grained complexity. The school will run from Friday to Sunday with a follow-up workshop on Monday afternoon. The workshop is a satellite ICALP workshop devoted to presentations of own research by selected participants of the school. We expect the talks to include a fair amount of technical details. The school will also include plenty of time for discussions.

VeRoLog PhD School

Owing to the presence in Cagliari of many brilliant researchers attending Odysseus 2018, VeRoLog will organize a two-day school just before the beginning of the workshop: Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of June 2018. Four lectures will be given by Teodor Gabriel Crainic, Guy Desaulniers, Ola Jabali, Thibaut Vidal on different methodologies for Vehicle Routing Problems. The school will be introduced by Daniele Vigo.

A particular emphasis will be devoted to the analysis of new algorithms and powerful computational strategies, allowing for new and quite efficient numerical methods.

Prague Summer School on Discrete Mathematics 2018

Prague Summer School on Discrete Mathematics 2018 will take place from 16th to 20th July in the historical building of the Computer Science Department of Charles University. Piotr Micek (Jagiellonian University), Aleksandar Nikolov (University of Toronto), and Peter Pal Pach (Budapest University of Technology and Economics and University of Warwick) will give lecture courses on three topics in discrete mathematics. The School is primarily intended for PhD students and postdocs, but students and researchers in other stages of their careers may also participate. A limited number of stipends to cover travel and stay for participants is available.
